CAROLINA THEATER WORKSHOP

Forging the future of American theatre.

WHO WE ARE

Carolina Theater Workshop is a developmental laboratory for original plays and musicals, dedicated to supporting writers through every stage of creation. By providing space, tools, and collaborative support, we enable artists to experiment, refine their work, and advance bold new stories toward production through our programming.

OUR PROGRAMS

CTW provides different avenues for artists to develop their work where it best suits them. Our various programs offer curated support through staged readings, free workshops, and more. Whether you’re a playwright looking to refine your show, a musical theatre writer needing guidance, or a new artist wanting to know where to start– we have a program for you.

NATIONAL MUSIC THEATER FOUNDRY

The National Music Theater Foundry is CTW’s national new works development program dedicated to the creation of new musicals.
